) Dr. Arindam Bhattacharya is the Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group, India. He is also a member of the global leadership team of BCG’s Industrial Goods practice and before taking on his current role was the co-leader of BCG’s Global Advantage Initiative.
Dr. Bhattacharya was educated at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur,
Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Warwick Manufacturing Group,
University of Warwick, UK where he completed his Doctorate of Engineering.
Starting his career with the Eicher Group as a graduate engineer trainee, Dr. Bhattacharya has over 23 years of experience in the industry, consulting and as a researcher focused on the manufacturing industry on variety of topics across the value chain.
Dr. Bhattacharya is the co-author of Globality – Competing with Everyone from Everywhere for Everything, which was nominated among the best business books by The Economist in 2008. He has recently authored a joint CII-BCG report on the Manufacturing Industry, and has also co-authored several reports published by The Boston Consulting Group as part of their Global Advantage Initiative, which deals with rise of the emerging economies like India.
